From the very early years of Jesus’ life, there was conflict. He was praised by some and hunted by others. In Jesus’ first years on the earth, we see the powers of the world clashing against the good news that a new King had arrived onto the scene of history. And today, we engage in that same clash–a battle to surrender to King Jesus or subvert His reign, a battle to serve Jesus or the powers of this world.
